As the heart of the hospital, the Blood Bank gives life.

Being the critical unit that all other departments depend on, the focus of our Blood Bank is to provide an adequate supply of safe and high quality blood and blood components, saving lives as we do so. Our Blood Bank was established in 2004 and has grown since to an astounding 26,243 donors who donate regularly.

The supply of blood and blood component products are obtained from donors and maintained by means of the very latest methods and technology.

It also ensures that unnecessary components are not given to patients who do not require them.

Donated blood is supplied at optimum efficiency to various other departments as whole blood or as components so that no blood is wasted.

Location - 1st floor near the Medical ICU (for easy access in emergencies)

Service Hours - Open 24 hours, 365 days a year for inpatients and outpatients. Open daily from 8 am to 5 pm for blood donations.
